Set Expectations
Picture Manipulation
(about 1/3 of the time on picture manipulation)
- Image Generators - using the images (show all, demonstrate a few)
At this point, the class participants need to spend 20 or so minutes making something with the Image Generators
Interactive Websites - Fun Stuff!
(demonstrate each one) (this can be either at the end of picture manipulation or at the beginning of podcasting as time permits)
Short break
Podcasting
(about 1/3 of the time on some form of podcasting)
- Audacity - tell stories, talk about books, share information through audio-only files
Audacity and mp3 files.doc (demonstrate)
- Voice Thread - storytelling with pictures and audio comments
- PhotoStory - part of the load set on the new laptops. Go to Start --> Programs --> Applications. (It is not with the other Microsoft programs). (demonstrate)
At this point class participants need to make an audacity file or a PhotoStory
Animated Podcasting
(about 1/3 of the time on Animoto and wrap up)

Animoto - "music videos" that can be used as TEASes (Technology Enhanced Anticipatory Sets), introductions, conclusions & wrap ups (especially student-produced )

At this point class participants need to make an Animoto

Encourage class participants to post their products on the pages below.
End the class by letting the class participants show at least one thing they made today and share how they might use their new knowledge in class in the Fall.
